Thank you!

Thanks to your generous donations, I was able to deliver several boxes, like you see in this picture, to the JCB. (If you would still like to donate, all of the details are below.)

My Mitzvah Project

For my mitzvah project, I've decided to help children in foster care.

I was saddened to learn that over 700 children enter the foster care system every single day.

Most are given a trash bag to carry their belongings...

I learned that many of these children have been neglected and often feel like they don't matter.

Many do not own a toothbrush, or have a pair of pajamas.

I reached out to The Bellefaire JCB, a child services agency here in Cleveland that, among other things, helps foster children.

They gave me a list of items that would be useful.

  • Journals
  • Hoodies
  • Fun colored pens
  • Art Supplies
    • adult coloring books
    • colored pencils
    • crayons
    • sketch books/pads
  • Headphones
  • Winter gear such as scarves, gloves, and hats. (NEW ONLY).
  • Fidgets
    • Fidget Spinners

I've created a convenient shopping list here. Anything you purchase will be shipped directly to me. New items only, please. (Or you are welcome to drop off at my house, 16520 Parkland Drive, Shaker Heights).

I am going to take the items that are purchased and deliver to the Bellefaire JCB, hoping to help as many foster kids as possible.

Thank you in advance for helping me with this important project.
